Blogs can be used to establish you as an expert in your career field. You can create an account by using www.blogger.com and www.blogspot.com.
Using a blog can be an effect way to attract an audience by providing informative information related to your career choice.
LinkedIn is a great way for employer’s to search profiles of prospect employees. This is a way to build professional relationships with others in your profession. “LinkedIn is all about business.” LinkedIn is a professional network full of experts in different industries that are willing to share advice and information to job seekers.
Twitter can be used to advance your career by following leaders and recruiters from your career industry. You can post a concise message about job opportunities that the company has announced. Twitter allows you to stay on top of what are happenings in the company.
3. Recap/Tips – When using social media you want to project a professional image at all times. It is necessary to enhance your online presence by using Blogs, LinkedIn or Twitter. You have to take in account what others think about your image (Brand). There could be potential employers searching your profile. When you are using these social media for career opportunities make sure you post content regularly and keep your profile updated. Social media should not be used to bash your former employees or others.
